Jeff Koons is an American artist, which is
most famous for his reproduction on banal objects such as his balloon animals.
These are produced on large scales using stainless steel with a mirrored
surface.
These pieces are articulately placed within
obscure locations in which the public will be able to view them easily. They
are out of place with their large structures and elaborate surfaces but I love
this idea which attracts people to stop and stare and notice these objects
which have been placed around strategically.
I would like to use the piece 'Puppy' as inspiration for my work. I have an idea which involves taking wildlife which doesn't belong within the city environment and placing it in popular areas. Attached with a message which will seduce the viewer to interact with my pieces.
